Piper J3 build

My current build is an oldy but a goodie!, this one started out life as a SIG Mfg 1/4 scale Piper J-3 Cub.

I have modified the structure pretty extensively to give me a more scale outline and make both wing panels removable for transport (original kit had centre section attached to one wing panel and bolted to the top of the cabin).

Also, I wanted to use the SIG Koverall with some of our Deluxe products (Cover Grip & EZE Dope) with a 2 component PPG finish to see what could be achieved. The full-size I am modelling was restored for Oshkosh a couple of years ago and had an incredible finish.

More scale detail to come yet with 3D printed replica Continental 65 cylinder heads (scanned off full-size head) so hoping I can do it justice and make it look the part, hiding the working powerplant (OS 155P Four-stroke).

Check back soon, I'll add more pictures as the build progresses.
