Advanced features including AutoLand, Holding Pattern and Virtual Fence make it easy for almost anyone to fly successfully from their very first flight, while additional features including oversized tundra tires and optional flaps and floats offer the capability and versatility to fly from almost any surface, anywhere.
RTF Spektrum™ DXe 2.4GHz Transmitter
The included RTF version DXe transmitter is bound to the aircraft at the factory. The DXe can also be used with other RC aircraft as a pilot's skills progress.
Oversized Tundra Tires
Thick grass, gravel paths, dirt trails - Tundra wheels can tackle these and many other surfaces that would be impossible for most models of this size to handle.
Optional Flaps
The functional flaps are an option for impressive short-field takeoff and landing performance. This feature requires a 7+ channel computer transmitter, a flap servo, and a servo extension. (Sold Separately)
Optional Floats
Turn your model into a float plane with the optional Hobbyzone float set. Installation takes just a few minutes and all the necessary hardware is included with the aircraft and float set.
SAFE+ Features Included with the HobbyZone Carbon Cub S+
AutoLand: When activated, Autoland returns the Carbon Cub S+ safely to the ground with little to no pilot input. When flying in rougher conditions, you can provide some directional guidance and let the system do the rest to execute a safe landing.
Holding Pattern: Push a button, and the Carbon Cub S+ will automatically fly to a point near its takeoff location and circle at an altitude of approximately 120 feet. Once the command is cancelled, you have full control of the aircraft and can continue to fly.
Virtual Fence: You can choose between a circular setting with 360-degree fence or a rectangular setting with a fence that prevents the Carbon Cub S+ from flying behind you. Both fences will prevent the aircraft from flying too far away. When the Carbon Cub S+ encounters the Virtual Fence boundary, the control system will automatically activate Holding Pattern and return the aircraft to near its takeoff location and circle until you cancel the command.
Panic Recovery: If you ever lose control of the airplane in the more advanced control modes simply switch to Beginner Mode and release the control sticks. SAFE® Plus technology will automatically return the airplane to level flight.
Beginner Mode: Pitch and bank angle limits prevent over-control that can result in a loss of orientation and crashes. When the control sticks are released the airplane returns to level flight on its own. Best of all takeoffs are as simple as giving full throttle and letting the airplane fly off the ground or by giving it a quick hand launch.
Intermediate Mode: More freedom in pitch and bank, but still prevents over-control and does not return to level flight on its own. This mode allows you to make tighter turns and to climb and descend faster as your skills advance. Beginner mode automatically activates and returns the airplane to level flight when the airplane descends below approximately 30 feet above ground level and the sticks are released.
Experienced Mode: No pitch or bank angle limits so you have complete control! You can even fly inverted (upside down) and perform aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, stall turns and more. Panic Recovery Mode can be activated by switching to Beginner Mode and releasing the sticks.
