What is the difference between CNC CUTTING and LASER CUTTING?
CNC cuts the material using high speed router bits whereas Laser cutting burns through the material to acheive the cut. In general terms Laser acheives best results on thin to medium thickness and density materials. CNC is very versatile in both the type of material and thickness it can handle and is equally as happy using .8mm cutters on thin materials such as balsa and plywood as it is using 6.5mm cutters on 15mm + multi layer high quality plywood without any comprimise to acuracy and best of all leaves clean cut edges for glue joints.
How much does a file cost to get CNC cut or engraved?
This depends on the complexity of the file and the material used. We can quote exactly with
a file, or give an estimate from a simple sketch or plan.
How long does an order take?
We can usually do most small parts orders the same week (drawing and cutting day is Friday usually shipping the following Monday). Large quantities or complex drawing conversion will take longer, and may prove cost prohibitive.
I have an idea but I don't know where to start, can you assist with design?
Yes we can assist you with designs for CNC cutting and engraving.

Yes definitely. Or if you prefer email your enquiry. All client communication is confidential.
I have too many questions to email, or I am in a real hurry, is it best to call you?
Yes, sometimes a quick chat is easier than lots of emails!
Do you supply materials?
Yes we do, and will include this in any pricing.
Can I send my own material?
Yes you can, but check with us first as often it is costly to ship around the country depending on size of material. We normally have a good stock of materials at reasonable prices so it is not usually worth your while.
Can I have a sample of a wing rib or former before I commit to a project with a large number of parts?
We recommend a sample especially with models with a large number of parts required, it can be sent to you or a photo emailed.
Is there a minimum quantity?
Not really, though to save on freight it makes sense to get more than one part cut.
