Solarfilm Litespan is a very light, thin synthetic fibre tissue. It has been factory “doped” with a totally fuelproof resin. Weight is approximately 28 to 32 grams per square metre.
Litespan is much stronger and more puncture resistant than normal doped tissue. It is unaffected by moisture or water. It uses a separate adhesive Balsaloc, which is applied to the framework before applying the tissue.
Litespan is ideal for small rubber driven free flight to lightweight power models up to 1.27 metre wingspan.
On sheet balsa surfaces Litespan can be applied as a quick method to make the surface paintable.
First apply Balsaloc emulsion to the framework using a piece of sponge, allow to dry then iron on the Litespan.
Sheets sizes are 0.91m x 0.5m.
